IMPORTANT
=========
Users of MusicManIII Beta1 or Beta2 _M_U_S_T_ delete their
MusicManIII.Prefs in ENV:MusicManIII and ENVARC:MusicManIII.
They _M_U_S_T_ delete their "#?.mm3" and "#?.ptr" files too,
because of a complete re-design of the file-structures. I hope
this is no problem for anyone (this will never happen again).
Since V3.05 MusicManIII uses a new settings file. V3.05 will
still read old settings, but will only write new settings, which
are read wrong from earlier releases of MusicManIII.
So: DON'T TRY USING NEW SETTINGS WITH RELEASES PRE TO V3.05!!!
In V3.06 the settings file changed again. It will read all
previous version but will only write the new version. DON'T
TRY TO READ THEM WITH RELEASES PRE TO V3.06!!!
NOTE: V3.06 will be the last release that will read older
settings.
But what changed?
-----------------
From Beta3 on the strings for Artist, Title, Songs, Special-
fields, type and tape may be up to 255 characters long. MMIII
now saves records even more dynamically so that files are a
lot smaller compared to MMII (about 50%) and even a little bit
smaller compared to MMIII Beta2 - with even more possible info
to be saved!
UPDATES
=======
As MusicManIII now supports keyfiles there is no need to receive
updates directly from me. You only have to get the update from
the AmiNet or any PD disk, install it without overwriting the
keyfile and you have to newest non-demo release.
If you do not have access to the InterNet or don't buy PD disks
often you still can get updates directly from me. Therefore you
have to send me DM5.-- (if you live in Germany, Austria or the
Switzerlands) or US-$5.-- (if you live in the rest of the world)
for each Update you want. If you want e.g. the next 4 Updates
you have to send me DM20.-- (or US-$20.--).
Then you'll receive the Update(s) as soon as one is available.
SHAREWARE
=========
MusicManIII is Shareware. That means if you like MusicManIII and
choose to use it you'll have to pay the Shareare fee. Use the
supplied file "Registration.asc" to register.
The Shareware release has the following limitations:
- Only 20 records per file
- Only 1 file per mode
Everything else works.
